See moreThe 3rd generation of ASIMO, one of the pioneer bipedal humanoid robots. It runs up to 9km/h speed, while transitioning seamlessly between walking and running, and walks on uneven surfaces. The hand dexterity improved as such it can pour liquid to a cup holding a jug, as well as sign a sign language.
To achieve better human-robot interaction, the robot is capable of making predictions from gathered information and autonomously determine the next behavior without being controlled by an operator.
Honda officially announced to cease development of ASIMO at this version, and the robot made it’s final demonstration at March 31, 2022.
