It was around lunchtime and the mall was quite crowded, but the robot was calmly making its rounds across the floor, playing music as it swept. The brushes looked as though they were barely touching the floor, so I could not really tell whether they were actually picking up any debris. Still, whenever a gig worker delivering meals or a pedestrian absorbed in their phone approached from behind without seeming to notice the robot, it detected them early and came to a stop. The way it handled the busy surroundings gave it the air of a seasoned veteran. (May 2026)
