See moreA drone is scattering seeds and fertilizer on the mountainside. This is an attempt to restore vegetation on Mount Ibuki, one of Japan's 100 famous mountains. Deer feeding on the mountain has reduced the amount of vegetation supporting the ground, and subsequent heavy rains have caused landslides and the collapse of hiking trails. Aiming to establish plants that deer dislike, the drone will be responsible for scattering seeds and transporting runoff soil, including seedlings. (June 2025)
