The joint project by Toyo Metal and Toyohashi University of Technology altered a commercial industrial cleaning machine to work automatically. The robot furnishes motors and controllers at starring and pedals, and equip obstacle sensors to avoid collisions. In the trial, the robot demonstrated smooth and accurate motion even among the park visitors. Despite its size, the design is appealing to children's eyes and doesn't frighten people, making for a harmonious convenience in public areas. (Mar 2024)
