The venue of the robot trial, Hisaya-odori Park (Nagoya, Japan), is as big as 100,000 square meters. The robots made the trial runs to verify whether it could assist in safety monitoring that would not be throughly covered by surveillance cameras or patrolling guards alone. At the test, it successfully captured real-time videos of surroundings even under rainy/dark hours, while autonomously driving crowded areas without collisions. One of the visitors commented on the minimal design as “look trustworthy”. (March 2024)
